Fall Tackle Football
The West Valley Spartans football program was established in 2017 with a fundamental structure of two goals in mind. Those two goals are to development all players no matter a players skill level, size, or knowledge of the game. Secondly, to develop young men to be better individuals off the field within their family and community environment. Over the years, the West Valley Spartans organization has grown from 1 team of 22 players to nearly a dozen teams each season. Age Groups: 6-14 yr old

Preseason Workouts: Jun - Aug
Season: Sept - early Dec
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices: located at Shadow Ridge HS practice fields
Home Games: Shadow Ridge HS
Away Games: Scheduled by the league across the valley ie. Flagstaff, Prescott, and/or surrounding area
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Time & Duration: Teams practice 2-3 times per week for 1.5 - 2 hours from 6pm - 9pm; age & team dependent

Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Example: Teams will play up to 8 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the Saturdays
Uniforms
Are uniforms provided by the Spartans or are they purchased separately?
We have a registration fee and fundraising to help cover the costs of the uniforms, fields, and lights at the start of the season.
Uniforms: Each player will have two jerseys (home/away), game day undershirt, integrated padded game pants, two pairs of socks (black/pink), and a game bag.

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Fundraising: Each player is expect to do the pre-season fundraising or pay the opt-out fee.
No additional costs are expected
Required Equipment
What does your athlete need to be ready to play this season?
Equipment: Black helmet and facemask, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, black practice pants, and cleats.
*All equipment will be inspected to ensure fit and safety for all players
